This is an exciting opportunity to join our talented team in the UK as a summer intern. We are looking for interns studying a technical subject (mathematics, physics, engineering, software) who have a passion for gaining experience in a deep tech start up and contributing their knowledge and enthusiasm to help Living Optics revolutionise the world of hyperspectral imaging and computer vision. You will be either entering the final year of a master's degree or have recently completed your study.
Our internship programme is designed to help you integrate with our teams and ways of working quickly, before moving into taking on real responsibilities in one of our teams whilst receiving support, guidance and mentorship. Depending on your degree discipline and your appetite for learning you might be involved in some of these activities:
- Putting our camera to use by setting up field trials and experimenting in our lab.
- Working with our software development kit to explore new applications.
- Testing new technology components in R&D.
- Contribute to technical marketing documents and customer communications.
- Leading and completing a project to address a business or technical need.
Location and Commitments
- Onsite at our Oxfordshire HQ (Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxford. OX14 4RY).
- Full-time but we can accommodate when life means you might need some flexibility.
- Temporary: Up to 12 weeks, flexible dates between June – September 2024.
We pay our interns a salary and offer financial support so they can be within commuting distance of our HQ in Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
- Access to our fully stocked kitchen whilst onsite for snacks and drinks
- Complimentary team lunches a minimum of 2 days per week
- Reimbursement of reasonable accommodation and travel costs to allow you to participate fully in our on-site programme.
